READING PRACTICE

The reading practice is one of the most important parts of acquiring both vocabulary and grammatical rules of a language. Therefore, the next activity is a story where the students will have to read the text carefully and then answer the questions.

A RABBIT IN THE ROAD

Daniel was having fun in the car with his younger brother, Lucas. They were going for a ride with their parents to Lago Rosado. There they would go to swim in its warm waters and fly their new kites. It would be an unforgettable ride. Suddenly, the car stopped with a sudden braking. Daniel heard his father exclaim in a hoarse voice:

- "Oh, my God, I've run over him!

- Who, who," Daniel asked.

- "Don't worry," answered his father. - It is nothing.

The car started to drive again and the mother of the children turned on the radio, and a fashionable song began to play on the speakers.

- "Let's sing this song," she said, looking at the children in the back seat.

The mother began humming a song. However, Daniel looked out the back window and saw a rabbit lying on the road.

- "Stop the car, Daddy," Daniel shouted. "Please stop.

- "What for?" answered his father.

- "The rabbit is lying on the road!

- "Let's leave it," said the mother. "It's just an animal.

- No, no, stop. We must pick it up and take it to the animal hospital. The two children were very worried and sad.

- "Well, it's okay," said the father, realizing his mistake.

And they turned around and picked up the injured rabbit. However, as they resumed their journey, a police patrol stopped them on the way to alert them that a large rock had fallen on the road and had closed the pass.

They then decided to help the police officers remove the rock. Thanks to everyone's solidarity they were able to clear the road and reach the vet in time, where they cured the rabbit's leg. Daniel and Lucas' parents agreed to take him home until he was cured. And a few weeks later the whole family went to leave the rabbit back in the woods. Lucas and Daniel said goodbye to it with sorrow, but knowing that it would be happier to be free.

  1. Hello Ane!
First of all, congratulations on your great blog!! I found it very easy to use and find all the different activities. Adding to that, I found your activities very educational and not very difficult for students of primary school.. Also, the app that you used it's so interesting! I am definitely going to use it with my students.
I am sure that if you bring these activities to the classroom, all of the students are going to have so much fun :)

SPEAKING PRACTICE

Many children do not dare or even try to speak English in the classroom as it is not their mother tongue and they still do not have enough knowledge to speak fluently and correctly. However there are different way to encourage young students to try speaking a language. One of my favourite is make them speak through the games. Therefore, here i share you a game where children must say words with the letter written in the top of cards, always related to the topics written in the three squares. LEARNING NEW WORDS

WRITING PRACTICE

Another of the most important skills of English is writing. This is essential to be able to practice all the rules of a language and to be able to write and practice everything learned in class.  Here i share the activty where young students should listen and watch a video about body parts. Once the video has been seen, the first activity is filling the gaps of the wordcross: BODY PARTS' CROSSWORD After having done the first activity, the second activity consists of describing your body using the vobaculary learned in the video: MY BODY'S DESCRIPTION
